About Our Journey

We are nonprofit team and work worldwide

Agatiam Charitable Trust (ACT)'s history starts with the story of compassion. Dr. Balamurugan and his lovable wife Er. B. Sudharani, a kind hearted social activist took up the challenge of being and working for the poor. They took the initiative with the vision that "No one shall be deprived of the basic needs".

The overwhelming response from the general public is the impetus for the growth of Agatiam Charitable Trust. Now Agatiam Charitable Trust functions as a social relief NGO striving for the upliftment of poor, sick, downtrodden and the under privileged.

"Put yourself in someone else's place, and see how it feels."

The vision of the Agatiam Charitable Trust is to spread the ideals of social movement leaders and motivate the younger generation to render service to the less fortunate. Agatiam Charitable Trust serves with the motto of "Service to Humanity".

With the partnership of Government & various State governments, as well as the generosity of thousands of our supporters, all these years ACT serve the under privileged and the needy to transform a vision into a reality. Our fight will continue till the last breath of a suffering mass.

Homeless - Less in Home

We agatians have started working on with the problem and found some workarounds in switching off the equipment, when it is not in use or taking up the load. We are into home automation working on with AI techniques like ALEXA, GNOME, SIRI in automating the switching ON/OFF process. We didn’t stop at that point and wanted to make the customer happy or enjoy the utilization of power. We are testing a procedure to provide incentives for better utilization through CLOUD ENERGY SERVICES. (www.energy.smartispark.com).

Environment & Agriculture

Save the clean water

Planting the tree saplings are not going to be the solution for the growing menace, but maintaining a proper balance with the arising needs and our production should pave the way for better environment. This sparked us to invest our brain on SMART farming solution through IOT solution integrating the climatic update through augmented reality.( www.ies.smartispark.com).

Renewable Energy

Powering the poor

Obviously, the first kind of power used in agriculture was human power, and all operations from land preparation through cultivation, harvesting, and processing of final product were performed more or less by hand. But, as the need arose for increased crop production, the development and invention of heavier and more effective field tolls and machines became imperative. Hence, heavier and larger ploughs and harrows, mechanical planters, cultivators, and harvesting devices were designed and introduced. But they required more and better power; therefore, the ox, the horse, and the mule entered the farm power scene in appreciable number. For calculating power availability from tractors on the farm, a weighted average of 26.1 kW per tractor has been taken. This power can be replaced with renewable energy by Solar PV and hybrid systems. The need for pumping water and cold storage for preservation also can be fulfilled by green energy. We are working on Microgrid implementation, where there is no access to electricity. (www.solar4society.org)
